Success

Dear Protégés,

I am delighted that we now have this Blog for everyone to share their thoughts and ideas after the monthly teleclasses. It is amazing how many of you have your own wonderful wisdom that we all need to hear.

As I was saying on the last call, Sir Richard Branson, arguably the most successful entrepreneur in the world, emphasizes in his book, “Losing My Virginity”, the importance of having FUN with your business.

“More than any other element, fun is the secret of Virgin’s success.”
– Sir Richard Branson.

Bring an element of fun and playfulness not only to your work but also to your life. Remember to laugh, a lot, every day. Fun and laughter increase creativity, and it’s creativity that makes money.

Sir Richard also mentions the importance of the followingor a successful business and life:
  • being fluid and flexible
  • believing in yourself
  • keeping the big picture in the forefront of your mind
  • keeping an open mind listening carefully
  • having a sound business plan
  • finding the right people protecting the downside
And I agree! In my experience of founding and creating a successful business, all of the above is sound advice, especially the FUN part.

My latest news is that I have just got a new literary agent who is based in New York. Her last words to me before we hung up from discussing my two new book projects were:”This sounds like fun!”. I thnk she’s the right agent for me.

I look forward to talking in person on the next call, June 13, 2007.

Love and blessings,
Pragito

Hi Pragito,

As always I got so much out of your teleconference call. Rarely does anyone talk about the history of success from the perspective of what is stored in our cells and subconscious and controlling us now through a historical and accumulated imprints and filters. Like all animals humans pass on knowledge about survival in this way to future generations and it really freaks out that survival program if you deviate. I could feel mine stirring as you spoke. How my sheltered mother was more in the 20s mind set and my fearful father was more impacted by the 30s. I could feel the dichotomy of their two strong economic mind sets and the confusion, conflict, indecision I have often felt --ultimately turning into a sort of powerlessness around money because neither were correct (in the present) and they do not work together as a whole --and I could now feel, see and stand outside it.

I had this strong feeling embedded in there that you can not hold on to money and the world is too unpredictable - you can never have enough, so you have to work constantly and even so you will never really be safe from poverty and need. Money can leave at anytime. So why bother -- why get so tired doing something that is all about money and basic survival and not about living? I realized that my current program and my rebellion was from my youth and had never changed --have some fun, stay healthy and get used to living with just enough -- this I could more or less control. The other program was so depressing, but it was still there.

Now I now that this is filter is information only -- it is history, the past (due to past human error creating a famine and depression as you pointed out) and it is very valuable to know, a very good lesson to learn from (corruption, denial must eventually blow up and self correct) --but now is now and so many other new opportunities are possible. I can appreciate now that I was running away from the past and not creating anything really useful in it's place - just live for today like many in my generation. I also did not take the time to learn about money it was just the thing to avoid because of all the emotional trappings. Part of my identity was not being wealthy (thus stating that I am not trapped in the grind) and not being into money as a power status as my folks were. But as I said I never created a better program that fit me to replace this one.

Now I do I see that I can have fun, plan well (including the down side) and accumulate wealth because it to is fun and brings more opportunities and can empower and support my team of spiritual friends. As I get older I more and more want to work with my friends and the people I trust and with whom share my goals. Otherwise you spend so much time day after day with people who are always rubbing you unpleasantly. I loved what you said about the owner of Virgin. I like working it just needs to change to doing something with my friends and doing something fun and creative. It is about faith too - if we use the money well and we stay awake we can ride whatever economic waves are coming. And certainly more easily if we have extra resources, especially as we age. It is also a way to create personal freedom and the physical and psychic space to grow and practice in this modern world.

Thanks for letting my air this - thanks so very much again!
Lynn
